If you get the wave, it goes all the way up to 110 base, which is the defacto highest base damage of any attack. Upping its damage per swing to 90 (one of the highest values in the entire game) makes it an insane murder machine. World Breaker is just mandatory for sword I feel. Overall, I'd say the tier list is Gun>Sword (World Breaker)>Shield>Spear>Sword(Not World Breaker)>Bow. Add in its lower DPS in exchange for that range, and while it's arguably the best weapon in the game in asphodel, and strong in tartarus and elysium, it just doesn't make it the last mile. Likewise, the last boss has some extremely fat hitboxes. You can't use its range advantage when you're in a tiny room where the sword special covers 90% of it. Bow is the worst weapon because its performance at the end of the game drops off hard.
